Byrdmaniax is the tenth music album by the American folk-rock band The Byrds . It was released on June 23, 1971 on the Columbia Records label . After the Byrds with Ballad of Easy Rider and (Untitled) again from the failure of the badly received by fans and critics alike, Dr. Byrds & Mr. Hyde had recovered, they allowed themselves another flop with Byrdmaniax . In the United States, the album reached # 46 on the pop charts, from which it was quickly passed again, in Great Britain the album did not enter the charts . The album probably owed the bad reviews and sales figures to the orchestral arrangements and the gospel choir that producer Terry Melcher and arranger Paul Polena added to the album, which contrasted with the band's rather sparsely orchestrated earlier albums.

Two singles were released from the album, both of which failed on the charts in both the UK and the States. In May came I Trust (Everything Is Gonna Work Alright) with the B-side of This Is My Destiny on the market (both titles were cut on the album cover and hot there only I Trust and My Destiny ) and on August 20 appeared Glory, Glory with Citizen Kane as B-side.
