The sixth CONCACAF Women's Gold Cup (North American Women's Football Championship) was held from October 27 to November 9, 2002 in Canada and the USA . The game was played in Fullerton , Pasadena , Seattle and Victoria . The USA was the winner for the fifth time . The tournament also served as a qualifier for the 2003 Women's World Cup . In addition to the USA, which had already qualified for the World Cup as hosts because China did not host the World Cup, final opponents Canada could qualify for the World Cup.
