Caddy pack ; actually Selina Pack (born May 1, 1989 in Heidelberg ) is a German-American rapper .

Life

Caddy Pack has an American father from Baltimore and a German mother. Because her father was a soldier in the US Army , her family was stationed in Clarksville Tennessee , Berlin, Hohenfels and finally Heidelberg . She grew up with her sister and now lives in the Heidelberg area. In 2012 she completed an apprenticeship as a media designer and now works as an advertising coordinator alongside her music.

Career

Caddy Pack was influenced by a variety of genres, including rap, country, techno, and rock, as a child, due to their parents' diverse musical tastes. She learned from her guitar teacher Jan Lindqvist - who has played in the German Krautrock band Guru Guru since 2016 - to play acoustic and then electric guitar. Later she also took drum lessons at the “Rockschule Mannheim”. After covering the songs of other artists for a few years, she wrote her first lyrics at the age of 14.

At a freestyle battle in a youth center where she lived, she met “Tuny Chris”, her first producer. In August 2006 she released her first single "Coming Right To Ya!", Produced by Tuny Chris and released by his independent label "Burning South Records". With this song she won a competition in which she prevailed against a large number of competitors as a live act and thus landed a feature with Malik Yusef and Kanye West on their single Wouldn't you like to ride on ZYX Music . At the time, articles about Caddy Pack appeared in the youth magazines Bravo and Bravo Hiphop . This was followed by a radio guest appearance on the station Dasding , where she was interviewed about herself and the contest.

In 2007 she appeared with Gasoline on the album Glänzend von Hecklah & Coch on TVT Records alongside other artists such as Sido , Sentino and Pal One . In 2008 she took part in the 7th season of Popstars and made it into the "Re-Recall". In 2009 a song with Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht was released, as well as a song with the title Uh la la with Cupid. Three years later she appeared on the single MIA by singer Joelina Drews, produced by Al Walser . To date, Caddy Pack has supported various artists, including 2 Chainz , Waka Flocka Flame , Soulja Boy , Ying Yang Twins , Petey Pablo , Lady Sovereign , T-Wayne , Kurtis Blow , Lil Flip , Rasheeda , Kool Savas , Xavier Naidoo , AZAD , Das Bo and D-Flame .
