history
Prehistoric objects were found there. In 1003, King Henry II (HRR) is said to have made peace with Arduin von Ivrea in Cadempino. The following year, the same emperor signed the deed certifying the property of San Pietro Abbey in Ciel d'Oro of Pavia . The monastery of Sant'Ambrogio (Milan) owned 844 properties and serfs here. In the 12th century, the Bishop of Como contested the jurisdiction of the monastery. The dispute came before the Popes Urban III. (1185-1187) and Gregory VIII (Pope) (1187); the latter recognized the rights of the monastery. Como Cathedral also owned goods there. At the beginning of the 15th century, the village had to provide nine soldiers to the Duke of Milan . In 1426 and 1484, the plague struck Cadempino. According to tradition, the population of the place is said to have been severely tested by the same epidemic between 1580 and 1590.
