Calvin Pearly Gardner (born October 30, 1924 in Transcona , Manitoba ; † October 10, 2001 ) was a Canadian ice hockey player and coach who worked for the New York Rangers , Toronto Maple Leafs , Chicago, among others, from 1945 to 1961 Blackhawks and Boston Bruins have played in the National Hockey League . Career

Cal Gardner began his career as a hockey player in the amateur team of the Winnipeg Rangers, with whom he won the Memorial Cup in 1943 . For the 1945/46 season he made his debut in professional ice hockey for the New York Rovers from the Eastern Hockey League .
