The Canadian Rocky Mountains are that part of the North American Rocky Mountains that lies in the Canadian provinces of Alberta and British Columbia . They border the US states of Idaho and Montana . The northern end is on the Liard Plain in British Columbia. Its highest point is the 3954 m high Mount Robson .

The mountain ranges west of the Rocky Mountains in southern British Columbia are called the Columbia Mountains and are also not part of the Rocky Mountains.
