The Canon EOS R6 is a mirrorless system camera from the Japanese manufacturer Canon . It came onto the European market in July 2020 with an MSRP of around 2,600 euros.

The EOS R6 and the Canon EOS R5 presented at the same time are the first Canon cameras with image stabilization in the camera itself ( IBIS ).

camera

The EOS R6 and the EOS R5 are quite similar in design and menu navigation, but differ in the resolution of their sensors and software. While the R5 produces a resolution of 45 megapixels, a 20-megapixel sensor was built into the EOS R6. According to trade magazines, the sensor of the EOS R6 is based on that of the professional camera Canon EOS-1D X Mark III

The camera can film with a resolution of 4K videos and has a crop factor of 1.07.

The RF bayonet system, which was not very widespread when it was introduced, can be adapted with Canon EF and EF-S lenses as well as third-party manufacturers.
