Capital City Go-Go is an NBA G-League team based in the American capital Washington, DC . It's the farm team for the NBA franchise Washington Wizards .
history
In June 2017, the Washington Wizards announced that they had acquired the rights to own a farm team in the NBA G-League that would participate in the league's game operations from 2018. The name of the team and the conga in the logo alluded to the go-go music genre that began in Washington, DC in the 1960s and 1970s . The franchise took second place in the Southeast Division in its first season with a balanced record (25 wins and 25 losses), which was not enough to move into the play-offs .
