Carl Hubert Vering

Carl Hubert Vering (born November 18, 1834 in Ahlen , † February 9, 1897 in Hanover ) was a German building contractor who was active in the civil engineering and railway construction sectors.

Life

Vering founded C. Vering in 1855. After his youngest brother Hermann Vering joined the company as technical director from 1871, it developed into one of the largest civil engineering companies in the German Empire . C. Vering specialized primarily in the construction of transport routes, initially in large-scale projects in the railway sector and increasingly in port and canal construction projects. Vering founded the railway construction and operating company Vering & Waechter together with the civil engineer Karl Waechter in Berlin in 1885 , which subsequently built numerous branch lines and small railways . In 1896 his son Carl Vering joined his father's civil engineering company, C. Vering.

Carl Hubert Vering was awarded the honorary title of (Royal Prussian) Commerce Councilor . He died in Hanover in 1897 at the age of 62 and was buried in the Stöcken city cemetery. His mausoleum there is a listed building .
