Carlos Pazos

Carlos Pazos (born December 23, 1949 in Barcelona , Spain ) is a Spanish object and installation artist who performs his pictorial poems in Catalan .

Life

Pazos began studying architecture , but then turned to drawing and painting . He studied art at the Escola EINA in Barcelona and exhibited for the first time in 1969 in the Ateneu building in Barcelona. In the following years he became known nationally and internationally with solo and group exhibitions. His works, such as installations or sculptures, are often given the title kitsch due to their attacks of innocence and naivety .

Since 2005 he has been working with the Catalan artist Pascal Comelade in the fields of books, videos and concerts.
