Carmen Siewert

Carmen Siewert (born January 10, 1972 ) is a German long-distance runner .

In 2003 she was third in the Berlin half marathon in 1:13:55 h. In 2005 she was at the Regensburg Marathon second overall and German Vice Champion in marathon in her personal best of 2:40:28 h and won the Essen Marathon around the Baldeneysee in 2:41:51 hours. In 2006 she won the Munich Marathon as a German marathon champion .

Since 2006 she has turned to mountain running . In this discipline she won the national title in 2007 and has so far had two appearances in the national team: at the 2006 World Championships (37th place) and at the 2007 European Championships (35th place). In addition, she has been a total of five North German champions (three times in the 5000-meter run , once in the cross-country run and once in the half marathon ).

The 1.64 m tall and 52 kg heavy athlete competed for Greifswalder SV 04 until June 2011 . Since then she has started for SG Greifswald. After an apprenticeship as a gardener, she studied surveying engineering at the Dresden University of Technology and Economics .

The hourly performance is the state record for Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .
