Carola Hartfelder

Carola Hartfelder (born March 4, 1951 in Berlin ) is a German politician ( CDU ). From 1994 to 2009 she was a member of the Brandenburg state parliament for three legislative periods .

Life and work

Carola Hartfelder attended school from 1957 to 1969, which she finished at EOS Luckau at the same time as she graduated from high school and completed vocational training as a chemical specialist . From 1969 to 1973, she then studied at the Humboldt University in Berlin to become a certified teacher for sport and history. From 1973 to 1990 she taught at POS in Berlin, Sadenbeck and Drahnsdorf and was headmaster in Drahnsdorf from 1990 to 1991. Then she was until 1994 a teacher at the school Luckau, where she also school teacher was.

Carola Hartfelder has been married since 1970 and has a daughter (* 1972) and a son (* 1973). She is Protestant and lives in Görsdorf .

Since the 2011/12 school year she has been working again at the now renamed Bohnstedt-Gymnasium Luckau in the subjects of sport and history.

Political party

Carola Hartfelder has been a member of the CDU since 1990. In 2001 she was elected chairwoman of the CDU district association Teltow-Fläming, whose district chairwoman she was until 2005.

From 1991 to 1993 she was deputy state chairwoman and from 1993 to 1996 state chairwoman of the CDU Brandenburg . At the party convention of the CDU Brandenburg in January 2007, she did not receive the required majority of delegates and was therefore not elected as an assessor in the state executive.

From 1990 to 1993 Hartfelder was chairwoman of the CDU parliamentary group in the Luckau district assembly and since 1998 she has been a member of the Teltow-Fläming district assembly.

Hartfelder was a member of the Brandenburg state parliament from October 1994 to September 2009. In the state elections on September 27, 2009, she no longer stood at her own request. Most recently, she was unable to prevail against the PDS and SPD candidates in the 2004 state elections in the constituency of Teltow-Fläming II . It always moved into parliament via the state list of the CDU Brandenburg .

In the second electoral period (1994–1999) Carola Hartfelder was deputy chairwoman of the committee for education, youth and sport, as well as a member of the petitions committee. In the following third electoral term (1999-2004) she took over the chairmanship of the Committee on Education, Youth and Sport and was also a member of the Committee on Budget and Finance. During her last electoral term (2004–2009) she represented her group as a simple member of the Committee on Education, Youth and Sport and the Committee on Petitions. She was youth and sports policy spokeswoman for the CDU parliamentary group. In addition, from 2004 to 2007 Hartfelder was chairwoman of the social group working group.
