Casenzano was an independent political municipality in the district of Locarno , Canton Ticino , Switzerland .

geography

The village is at an altitude of 313 m. ü. M., on the left bank of the Langensee , in the small Val di Cedullo, 500 m south of San Nazzaro TI on the approach line Luino - Cadenazzo of the Swiss Federal Railways .

history

The village was an independent municipality from 1803.

Community merger

In 1930 Casenzano merged with the municipality of Vairano to form the municipality of San Nazzaro , which in turn became part of the municipality of Gambarogno in 2010 .
