Chantal de Freitas
Chantal de Freitas (born July 26, 1967 in Kiel ; † before July 1, 2013 in Hamburg ) was a German actress and singer .
Life
The daughter of a German and a Panamanian grew up in New York City , among other places . She completed her training at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts and at the renowned Circle in the Square Theater School in New York City. She was married to the actor Kai Wiesinger , with whom she had two daughters. Since 2012, after 14 years, they had been separated, but were not divorced. Beside him she stepped u. a. in the films The Leihmann , talk of the town and run driver as well as a guest speaker resulted in 83 children radio play series Bibi on. Both were founders of the film production company "Arranque".
In the TV crime series Polizeiruf 110 , she was Oliver Stokowski's partner as Commissioner Carol Reeding .
Apart from acting, de Freitas also appeared as a singer. In 2007 she founded the label Pussy Empire Records , on which she released her debut album Independence in August 2010 . Shortly before her death, she was working on a new CD in the studio.
On July 2, 2013, upon request , her agency confirmed her death without giving any details about the time, place or circumstances surrounding her death.
