Chanteurs Sans Frontières
Chanteurs Sans Frontières was a band consisting of numerous well-known French musicians who recorded the benefit song for Africa Ethiopie in 1985 .
The initiator of the project was Renaud . After Great Britain with Band Aid ( Do They Know It's Christmas? ), The USA with USA for Africa ( We Are the World ) and Germany with the Band für Afrika ( Nackt im Wind ) had started similar projects, the French wanted to use it of a song to collect money for Africa , in this case especially for the non-governmental organization Doctors Without Borders (in French Médecins sans frontières , hence the band name).
