Charles Robinson (actor)
Charles Robinson (born November 9, 1945 in Houston , Texas , † July 11, 2021 in Los Angeles , California ) was an American actor who became known for his long role in the series Harry's Miraculous Criminal Court .
Life
Robinson began his acting career in 1971 with guest roles on television series . In the mid-1970s he also starred in a few blaxploitation feature films, but his career has otherwise been largely limited to television roles. In 1983 he played one of the leading roles in the series Buffalo Bill , which was discontinued after a season. The slot was taken over by the new sitcom Harry's Wondrous Criminal Court . From the second season until the series was discontinued in 1992, Robinson played the role of bailiff Mac Robinson in 182 episodes. Between 1990 and 1992 he led in three episodes of the series, the director. From 1995 to 1999 he had a recurring guest role as Bud Harper in the sitcom Listen, Who's Hammering . In 2006, he starred in nationally broadcast commercials for the US wireless operator Sprint Nextel . His acting work includes more than 110 film and television productions, he was active as an actor until the year of his death.
Robinson was a third wife and father of four children. He died in July 2021 at the age of 75 of complications from cancer.
