Chase is an American crime series produced on behalf of NBC from 2010 to 2011 .
action
A team of US Marshals is set to hunt down the most dangerous fugitive criminals in the United States . The team consists of the cowboy boot-wearing Annie Frost, the growing cowboy Jimmy Godfrey, the taciturn Daisy Ogbaa, the newcomer Luke Watson and the talkative Marco Martinez. Together they follow every little trail to catch the fugitives.
production
In September 2009, NBC ordered Jennifer Johnson's script as a pilot episode. The episode was realized in collaboration with Jerry Bruckheimer and Jonathan Littman.
In February 2010, Rose Rollins was first cast on the series. This was followed by Jesse Metcalfe as Luke Watson, a marshal from Washington, DC, and Cole Hauser , as experienced ex-cop Jimmy Godfrey. A few days later, Amaury Nolasco was hired as the police officer Marco Martinez. The leading role of Annie Nolan Frost was offered to Maria Bello , Téa Leoni and Christina Applegate . The producers were looking for a "strong lead actress" for the role of Annie Frost, so at the end of February 2010 Kelli Giddish was hired for the female lead. The pilot is set in Houston and was filmed in Dallas and Anna, Texas , in March .
On May 10, 2010, Chase was ordered as a series. After the series order, filming continued in the Dallas area . In August 2010 Eddie Cibrian and Jennifer Morrison were hired for supporting roles. In November 2011, Nia Long was cast as Assistant US Attorney Melissa Randolph for a story arc. Eric Mabius also got a guest role as an ex-cop on the run.
On October 19, 2010, the number of episodes was increased to 22. Due to slacking ratings, NBC reduced the order from 22 to 18 episodes on December 4, 2010, before the series was discontinued in May.
