Christian Lüttges (born April 14, 1983 in Niebüll ) is a German ice hockey goalkeeper who last played for the Eisadler Dortmund in the NRW League from 2013 to 2014 .
Career
Lüttges began his career in the junior team of the Krefeld EV , for which he was active for the first time with the junior team in the German junior league in the 2000/01 season . In addition, he completed 14 league games for the professional team in the German Ice Hockey League in the same season . In the summer of 2001 he joined the Grefrather EC , which was then playing in the Regionalliga NRW . He stayed there until 2003, in the meantime he also went on the ice for ESV Bergisch Land, and for the 2003/04 season switched to the league competitor at the time, the GSC Moers , who called themselves Black Devils Niederrhein from the following season. There he was a regular goalkeeper until the end of the 2004/05 season and even scored three assists during this time . Furthermore, he received 36 penalty minutes, which is rather unusual for a goalkeeper.
He then returned to Grefrather EC. Since he still had a license to support the Krefeld penguins, he completed another 19 DEL games for the penguins during the 2006/07 season . At the beginning of the 2007/08 season , Lüttges signed a contract with the newly founded Herner EV 2007 , with which he won the decisive play-off final and rose to the third-highest German division, the league . Since the people in charge of the DEL Club Füchse Duisburg subsequently joined the HEV as the majority shareholder, the sporting management provided the now 25-year-old with a sponsorship license with which he was also entitled to play for the Füchse Duisburg. On January 3, 2009, the partner of Füchse Duisburg, Ralf Pape, announced that Christian Lüttges would replace the two goalkeepers Ilpo Kauhanen and Lukas Lang in the league game against the Kassel Huskies . Both had injured themselves before. Nevertheless, he only took a seat on the bench, as the Latvian goalkeeper Edgars Masaļskis , who was signed on at short notice, was still allowed to play. During the 2008/09 season , Lüttges moved to the Duisburger Füchsen before returning to Herne for one season for the 2010/11 season. From 2011 to 2013 Christian Lüttges then played for the mosquitoes from Essen. On June 2, 2013 the Eisadler Dortmund announced the commitment of Christian Lüttges.
