Christine Lambrecht (writer)
Christine Lambrecht (born December 6, 1949 in Dessau , GDR ) is a German author and songwriter .
Life
Lambrecht grew up in Dessau and successfully completed the 10th grade of the polytechnic high school there . She thereby achieved the secondary school leaving certificate . From 1965 to 1967 she attended a technical school in Halle (Saale) and became a beautician .
After 15 years in the learned profession , Lambrecht gave it up in order to be able to write freelance , which she did from 1983 to 1990. From 1986 to 1987 she attended a special course at the German Literature Institute in Leipzig .
Lambrecht gained her first writing experience in the Dessau circle of writing workers . In 1982 her first book December Letters was published by Mitteldeutscher Verlag in Halle , and two years later it was also published in the Federal Republic of Germany by Deutsches Taschenbuch Verlag in Munich . Further works and short stories in anthologies and magazines followed. She also wrote lyrics for the rock band Zebra from Halle / S.
The author was not part of the SED , but was not an opponent of socialism and not against the GDR set ; but she criticized the expatriation of the songwriter Wolf Biermann and the censorship of literature . In her works, she took up subjects that were taboo in the GDR and acted as a mouthpiece for minorities and social outsiders such as homosexuals ( male acquaintances - frank protocols ) and people who had fled to the West ( December letters ). In the 1980s she was spied on by the State Security , which led the OPK "Stier" against her , also because of her contacts with other critical writers and West German journalists .
After the fall of the Berlin Wall , Christine Lambrecht was employed by the City of Dessau from 1990 to 2010, where she was responsible for marketing in the Office for Culture , Tourism and Sport .
Christine Lambrecht is the mother of the actor Guido Lambrecht .
