The Christian Democratic People's Party of Upper Valais (CVPO) is a political party in the German-speaking part of the canton of Valais .

The CVP Oberwallis is today the strongest political force in Oberwallis. She ran in the last municipal council elections in 2016 in 20 of the 29 voting proportional communities with their own lists and has positions in Leukerbad (3 seats), Raron (4 seats), Ried-Brig (3 seats), Zermatt (4 seats), Saas-Almagell ( 3 seats) and Salgesch (4 seats) the council majority. In addition, it has four councils in Visp , three councils in Gampel-Bratsch and St. Niklaus , and two councils in Agarn , Ausserberg , Leuk , Naters , Saas-Fee , Saas-Grund , Staldenried , Steg-Hohtenn , Turtmann-Unterems and Varen as well as represented by a municipal council in Brig-Glis .
