Christoph Miller
Christoph Miller (born November 27, 1902 in Munich , † January 7, 1988 in Berlin ) was a German architect and construction clerk at the Post Building School .
Life
Christoph Miller studied from 1922 to 1926 Architecture at the Technical University of Munich with Theodor Fischer and German Bestelmeyer . He then worked as a trainee lawyer at the Oberpostdirektion Würzburg . In 1927 he submitted his competition design for Oberwiesenfeld Airport under the keyword "navigare necesse est", which was purchased. In 1929 he was appointed government builder ( Assessor ). From 1930 to 1934 he worked as a freelance architect in Würzburg, from 1934 to 1945 as an architect for the Air Force, including 1934 to 1938 for Luftgaukommando VII in Munich, 1938 to 1943 in Vienna , 1943 to 1944 in Hamburg and finally again until the end of the war in Munich.
He spent the years 1945 to 1949 in captivity , where he also worked as an employee for various architects. From 1950 to 1951 he worked on Theo Pabst's initiative in the State University Building Office in Darmstadt , which was created in mid-1949 , where he was jointly responsible for the reconstruction of the Technical University . 1951 to 1958 then in the Oberpostdirektion Frankfurt am Main , first as Oberpostdirektor, then as department director. In 1958 he moved to Bonn as a ministerial advisor to the Federal Post Office . In 1967 Miller retired.
