Christopher Ammann

Christopher Ammann (* 1983 in Bad Eisenkappel / Železna Kapla, Carinthia ) is an Austrian actor .

Life

Christopher Ammann grew up in rural Lower Carinthia and Klagenfurt . After graduating from high school , he first began studying Catholic religious education and specialist theology in Graz (2002–2003). After a one-year stay in Norway , he completed his acting training at the Vienna Conservatory from 2005 to 2009 . During his training he made his first stage appearances as a guest at the “ Thalhof ” in Reichenau and then regularly at performances by the “ Bernhard Ensemble Vienna ” in the ViennaOFF Theater ”. In 2008 he was awarded the Fidelio , the prize for creative theater projects of the Vienna Conservatory.

After graduating, he worked as an actor at the Junge Schauspiel Bremen (MOKS) from the 2009/10 season to 2013 . In the three seasons he worked a. a. with the directors Michael Talke , Branca Prlić + Tamer Yiğit (as a directing duo), Mario Portmann, Theo Fransz, Konradin Kunze and Hanna Hegenscheid .

Christopher Ammann has been working as a freelance actor since 2012. In 2013 he appeared at the Vienna Theater der Jugend as Roger in Lord of the Flies . Since 2015 he has appeared regularly at the “Theater WalTzwerk” (theater for young people and adults) in Klagenfurt. In the 2017/18 season he played the obsessional neurotic Alexander in a stage version of the movie Vincent will Meer at the Hamburger Kammerspiele alongside Moritz Leu , Angelina Häntsch , Till Demtrøder and Marina Weis . In this role he was on stage again in February / March 2019. In 2018 he was a guest at the “ Komödienspiele Porcia ” at Porcia Castle in Spittal an der Drau as Brighella in Servant to Two Masters and as Carabiniere in Is Not Paid by Dario Fo .

Ammann has also been working for television since 2012. He made his TV debut on ORF- Tatort: ​​Unforgotten , which was first broadcast in May 2013, as village police officer Josef Hudle. In the 13th season of the Austrian crime series SOKO Kitzbühel (2014), Ammann played an episode role as the suspected nephew of a successful radio astrologer. In the 16th season (March 2017) of SOKO Kitzbühel , he played the adventurous young pharmacist Jürgen Bosch. He had identified other TV roles in the crime series Schnell (2014) and in the ZDFneo comedy series Tanken - mehr als Super (2018). Ammann played the suspect Andi Granitzer, the Carinthian husband of an employee in the local sawmill , in the ORF Tatort: ​​Baumfalls (first broadcast: November 2019) .

Ammann lives in Hamburg .
