Christophorus 7 is the name given to the location of an emergency helicopter belonging to the Christophorus Air Rescue Association under the umbrella of the Austrian Automobile, Motorcycle and Touring Club . The helicopter with the aircraft registration OE-XEM is stationed at the Lienz-Nikolsdorf airfield near Lienz , Tyrol .

On January 1, 2001, the Christophorus 7 replaced the Martin 6 emergency doctor's helicopter, which had been in use at the Lienz / Nikolsdorf flight operations center of the Federal Ministry of the Interior since 1986 . Its area of ​​application extends over the area of ​​East Tyrol and Upper Carinthia. In 2003 a new hangar for the helicopter was built at Nikolsdorf airfield .

The operational readiness lasts daily from 7 a.m. until the end of civil twilight . The alarm is issued by the control center in Tyrol and the regional control center in Carinthia. This happens about 500 to 750 times a year.
