Joasihno started in 2009 as a solo loop orchestra project in which Beck superimposed loops of vocals, folk guitars and various electronic and acoustic sounds.

The debut EP papierTonnenTigerTum was released in the first year . Since 2010 Beck has been performing live as a duo with drummer Nico Sierig from Missent to Denmark . In 2011 the first album " We Say: Oh Well " was released. He wrote the songs and lyrics in the basement of his parents' house. The Notwist brothers Micha and Markus Acher took Joasihno on tour as support and published the following album A Lie (2013) on their label Alien Transistor.

In 2015, Cico Beck replaced Martin Gretschmann at The Notwist.

In 2013, Joasihno presented the BR series launch pad to the audience in its 13th season and followed the project for three months with the camera.

Joasihno appeared alongside Sebastian Witte at the end of Anil Jacob Kunnels film "Pixelschatten" (2011) and can be heard on the soundtrack for the film. Other film and theater music contributions were made in part under Beck's real names.

On the 2016 album Meshes , the music is more experimental and instrumental to a large extent. Models of what Beck calls "Electronic Anti-Pop" are early experimental electronics, the Moondog canons , Steve Reich's patterns and the production of Four Tet .

Other band projects were Aloa Input , Ms. John Soda, You + Your D. Metal Friend, Spirit Fest.
