Aloa Input is a German indie rock band project from Bavaria , founded in 2012 , a joint project of established musicians that received national attention within a very short time. In November 2013, Die Zeit referred to the newcomer band as “a kind of supergroup of Munich alternative pop music ” , and the online newspaper “Zeitjung” as a “supergroup of Bavarian experimental pop” .

history

The band is a joint project of the established musicians Florian “Flo” Kreier aka “Angela Aux”, who is considered to be the head of the band, Christoph “Cico” Beck and Marcus Grassl from Missent to Denmark . All members have sufficient band experience from different musical directions. The intersection is the enthusiasm for experimental pop music . In almost every song they mix different influences from folk, indie rock, hiphop and electro.

The Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation called Angela Aux's style of music at the time "New Weird Bavaria" based on " New Weird America ". This style of the “new Munich school” is now also attributed to Aloa Input , The Dope and The Marble Man . Aloa Input is attributed to the core of the “New Weird Bavaria”, a movement that, like its great predecessors, seeks the boundaries between pop and experiment. According to the band, the name Aloa Input stands for an “ exotic mixture of influences”.

After the release of the debut album Anysome in 2013, the music magazine Musikexpress judged : “Such megalomaniac projects usually fail, but sometimes, like here, something unique emerges. Almost every of the numerous genre characteristics have Aloa Input integrated into their music. "

Production , public relations and marketing have been supported by the Initiative Musik since 2013 . The debut album was recorded in the studio of LaBrassBanda .

The band has now performed internationally, including at Klub 470 of the Goethe Institute in the Netherlands , but also in Germany, for example, at the domestic Theatron Music Summer 2013 and at the Theatron Whitsun Festival 2014 , in the “window pre-program” of the Berlin SchwuZ Festival and as Support from The Notwist in the Kulturzentrum Schlachthof in Wiesbaden .
