Clémencey is a village and a former French community with 121 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Côte-d'Or in the region Bourgogne Franche-Comté . It belonged to the Arrondissement of Beaune and the Canton Longvic (until 2015: Canton Gevrey-Chambertin ). The inhabitants are called couchois .

With effect from January 1, 2019, the former municipalities of Clémencey and Quemigny-Poisot were merged to form the Commune nouvelle Valforêt and have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are located in Clémencey.

Clémencey is about 14 kilometers southwest of Dijon . Neighboring places of Clémencey are Fleurey-sur-Ouche in the north, Flavignerot in the northeast, Couchey and Fixin in the east, Brochon in the east and southeast, Chambœuf in the south, Quemigny-Poisot in the southwest and Urcy in the northwest.
