Claus Dethloff (born September 4, 1968 in Lübeck ) is a former German hammer thrower .
Dethloff represented the sports clubs MTV Lübeck (until 1990), LG Frankfurt (1991), LG Bayer Leverkusen (1992 to 1996) and TSV Bayer Leverkusen (1997 and 1998). From 1988 to 1996 he competed in eleven international matches for the Federal Republic of Germany, after having previously thrown in six junior international matches. He was German champion in 1995, 1990 to 19992 and 1994 he was second behind Heinz Weis .
He threw his personal best of 77.68 meters on September 9, 1994 in Lübeck.
His father Volker Dethloff and his brother Jörg Dethloff were also hammer throwers.
