Claus Voss

Claus Günter Voss (born April 11, 1929 in Sibiu , Romania ; † February 13, 2015 in Koblenz ) was a German doctor and medical officer . He was in his last military use from October 1986 to September 1989 inspector of the medical and health care in the rank of General Staff-doctor .

Life

After obtaining his license to practice medicine in 1956, he joined the Bundeswehr in 1958. There he was a military doctor, head of a medical company and later a division doctor. After working as head of department in the personnel department, he was commander of the medical academy of the Bundeswehr from April 1980 to March 1982 with the rank of general physician , then deputy head of the Bundeswehr Medical Office . From October 1983 to September 1986 he was Deputy Inspector of Sanitary and Health Services and Chief of Staff with the rank of General Staff Doctor . From October 1986 to September 1989 he was inspector of the medical and health care with the rank of General Staff-doctor .
