Ingo Patschke (born October 20, 1952 in Fürth ) is a German doctor and senior general staff doctor a. D.

Life

Patschke graduated from the New Gymnasium in Nuremberg in 1972 and studied human medicine at the Friedrich-Alexander University in Erlangen , where he was awarded a Dr. med. PhD . In his career to date, he has worked in Germany as an exchange officer at the Academy of Health Sciences , United States Army , San Antonio (Texas) . From 2005 to September 2006 he was the commander of the Medical Command II of the Bundeswehr Medical Service in Diez , and from September 2006 to September 2011 he was the deputy commander of the Medical Command in Koblenz . After Jürgen Blätzinger was retired in April 2011, he led the medical command command in his function as the deputy commander. On September 21, 2011, he handed over this task to General Staff Doctor Detlev Fröhlich , because on September 27, 2011 he succeeded Kurt-Bernhard Nakath as inspector of the medical service . On July 14, 2015, he handed over this function to Michael Tempel and was retired with a big tattoo in the presence of the Federal Minister of Defense Ursula von der Leyen .

On March 17, 2016, Patschke was elected to succeed Wolfgang Otto as chairman of the Evangelical Working Group for Soldiers Care in the Federal Republic of Germany (EAS).
