Jürgen Blätzinger

Jürgen G. Blätzinger (* 20th December 1948 in the vineyard ) is a German doctor and a medical officer with the rank of General Staff-doctor . He was the commander of the medical command in Koblenz . Blätzinger was retired on April 1, 2011.

Life

After graduating from high school, Blätzinger was drafted into the German Armed Forces as a trainee officer for the tank artillery battalion 145 in Niederlahnstein . After officer training, he was from 1971 to 1973 anechoic platoon observation battery 10 in Pfullendorf before 1973 as a first lieutenant in the career of medical officers changed until 1980 at the University of Ulm graduated in human medicine and received his doctorate. This was followed by assignments in the Army Office as a department head and as a stage manager of the medical service and the army medical service, before he was transferred back to the BMVg from 1994 to 2001, where he was employed as a department head in various areas. After using the Theater Surgeon / Medical Advisor in KFOR -Headquarters in Pristina he could after his return to the positions as deputy bureau chief and chief of staff in the Bundeswehr Medical Office in Munich occupy on which he became surgeon general was promoted. In 2005 he was transferred as Deputy Chief of Staff again in the Defense Ministry, where he then 2,006 on the previous post as deputy inspector of the Medical Services of the Armed Forces and Chief of Staff at the Joint Staff of the Medical Services of the Ministry of Defense (MoD) to transport to the surgeon general was transferred . He is a member of the West Regional District of the Clausewitz Society .

Blätzinger is married and has four children.
