Daniel Man

Daniel Man , also known as Codeak , (* 1969 in London ) is a British contemporary artist.

In 1972 he first moved to China, then to Germany in 1977. From 1999 to 2003 he studied at the University of Fine Arts Braunschweig (with Walter Dahn ), from 2004 to 2005 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich (with Markus Oehlen ). In 2004 he received a grant from the Bavarian State Ministry for Art and Science. You live and work near Munich.

Mural Global

As part of Mural Global , a worldwide mural project for Agenda 21 , Daniel Man realized a large mural in Hildesheim with the title Communication in 2000, at that time still under his graffiti name Codeak , together with the Brazilian graffiti artist Os Gêmeos . In 2001, another 300 m² mural was created, together with the Brazilian graffiti artists Os Gêmeos, Vitché , Herbert Baglione and Nina Pandolfo as well as with the German graffiti artists Loomit , DAIM and Tasek , in São Paulo, Brazil. The mural is located under a viaduct of the Beneficência Portuguesa hospital on Avendia 23 de Maio and includes the theme of air, earth, water and fire .

80 murals have so far been created as part of the Mural Global mural project . An initiative of Farbfieber eV Düsseldorf, under the patronage of UNESCO . The project was awarded the Socioculture Innovation Prize 2002 by the Socioculture Fund.
