The Communauté de communes Chalaronne Center is a former French association of communes with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the Ain department , whose administrative seat was in the town of Châtillon-sur-Chalaronne . The name refers to the Chalaronne river .
The community association consisted of 15 communities and counted 14,495 inhabitants (as of 2013) on an area of 244.3 km 2 . Didier Muneret was president of the community association.
Historical development
The community association was a merger between a predecessor of the same name that had existed since 1994 and the small Communauté de communes ChanStriVal , which included the communities of Chaneins , Saint-Trivier-sur-Moignans and Valeins . This merger took place in late 2012.
With effect from January 1, 2017, the community association was merged with the Communauté de communes Center Dombes and the Communauté de communes du Canton de Chalamont to form the successor organization Communauté de communes de la Dombes .

The competencies required included developing and promoting economic activities and tourism. He was also responsible for garbage collection, housing policy and the construction and maintenance of sports facilities.
