The Communauté de communes Vallée de l'Ubaye Serre-Ponçon is a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the department of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence in the region Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur . It was founded on December 16, 2016 and comprises 13 parishes. The administrative headquarters are located in Barcelonnette .

Historical development

The community association was created with effect from January 1, 2017 through the merger of the predecessor organizations

In contrast to this, the municipality of Pontis joined the Communauté de communes Serre-Ponçon in the neighboring Hautes-Alpes department . In addition, the municipalities of La Bréole and Saint-Vincent-les-Forts formed a nouvelle commune called Ubaye-Serre-Ponçon .
