The municipality is located in the French Maritime Alps and is crossed by the Bachelard river. It is bordered by Saint-Pons , Barcelonnette , Enchastrayes and Jausiers to the north, Saint-Dalmas-le-Selvage to the east, Entraunes to the southeast, Allos to the south and Méolans-Revel and Les Thuiles to the west . 3167 hectares of the municipality mark are forested.
