The Communauté de communes de Haute Tarentaise is a French association of communes with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the Savoie department , whose administrative headquarters are in the town of Séez . It covers the uppermost part of the Isère valley with a high mountain landscape between 744  m and 3823  m . Several of the major ski areas in France and the northern parts of the Vanoise National Park are located in its territory .

The community association founded at the end of 2006 consists of eight communities on an area of ​​569.1 km ² . Gaston Pascal Mousselard is president of the community association.

tasks

The competencies required include the development and promotion of economic activities and tourism as well as spatial planning on the basis of a Schéma de Cohérence Territoriale . The community association operates the emergency services, the sewage disposal as well as the garbage collection and disposal. In addition, the association supports sporting events and determines local housing policy.
