The Communauté de communes du Cézallier is a former French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the department of Cantal in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It was founded on December 30, 1998 and comprised 17 parishes. The administrative seat was in the municipality of Marcenat . The community association was named after the Cézallier mountain range .
Historical development
After the community association was founded on December 30, 1998 with 17 member communities, it was joined on January 1, 2010 by the Saint-Saturnin community.
With effect from January 1, 2017, the community association merged with the Communauté de communes du Pays de Murat and the Communauté de communes du Pays de Massiac and thus formed the successor organization Communauté de communes Hautes Terres . On this occasion, the municipality of Lugarde joined the Communauté de communes du Pays Gentiane and the municipality of Montgreleix joined the Communauté de communes du Massif du Sancy .
