Saint-Saturnin ( Occitan : Sant Saturnin ) is a French municipality with 205 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Cantal in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Flour .
geography
Saint-Saturnin is located around 34 kilometers northwest of the small town of Saint-Flour within the Volcans d'Auvergne Regional Nature Park .
The municipality includes the settlements of Maillargues, Nuix, Roche, Saint-Saturnin, Soulages and numerous individual farms.
history
Historically, the commune belongs to the Cézallier region within the Auvergne. Saint-Saturnin belonged to the Murat district from 1793 to 1801 and was part of the Allanche canton from 1793 to 2015 .
