Saint-Amandin ( Occitan : Senta Amandina ) is a French municipality with 231 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the department of Cantal in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Auvergne ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Flour and the canton of Riom-ès-Montagnes (until 2015 Condat ). The inhabitants are called Amandinois .

geography

Saint-Amandin is located about 50 kilometers north-northeast of Aurillac and about 55 kilometers south-southwest of Clermont-Ferrand in the north of the Cantal department. The mountain village is part of the Volcans d'Auvergne Regional Nature Park . Neighboring municipalities are Trémouille in the north and north-west, Montboudif in the north, Condat in the east and north-east, Lugarde in the south-east, Marchastel in the south, Riom-ès-Montagnes in the west and south-west and Saint-Étienne-de-Chomeil in the west and north-west.
