La Chapelle-Laurent ( Occitan La Chapela laurenc ) is a French municipality with 261 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Cantal in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Auvergne ). It belongs to the canton of Saint-Flour-1 (until 2015 Massiac ) and the arrondissement of Saint-Flour . The inhabitants are called chapelous .

La Chapelle-Laurent is about 58 kilometers east-northeast of Aurillac . The municipality is crossed by the Ceroux River. Neighboring municipalities are Massiac in the north and northwest, Lubilhac in the north, Mercœur in the east, Celoux in the south and Saint-Poncy in the west.
