Neuvéglise-sur-Truyère is a commune in the Cantal in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It was created as Commune nouvelle by a decree of September 21, 2016 with effect from January 1, 2017, by merging the previous municipalities of Neuvéglise , Lavastrie , Oradour and Sériers . Since then, these have been Communes deleguées . Neuvéglise is the main town (Chef-lieu).

geography
Neuvéglise-sur-Truyère is located south of the Monts du Cantal mountain range in the Massif Central area . The name affix testifies to the Truyère River , which runs along the southern municipal boundary. The Épie tributary also flows into the Truyère in the municipality, and the Alleuze river runs along the northeastern municipal boundary .
