Neuvéglise ( Occitan : Nòvaglèisa ) is a central French city and a former municipality with last 1,104 inhabitants (as of January 1 2014) in the Cantal in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . The municipality belonged to the arrondissement Saint-Flour and the canton Neuvéglise (until 2015: canton Saint-Flour-Sud ). Neuvéglise is a district of Neuvéglise-sur-Truyère .
location
Neuvéglise is about 42 kilometers east of Aurillac and is bordered to the south by the Truyère . Neuvéglise is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Les Ternes in the north, Sériers in the northeast, Lavastrie in the east, Saint-Martial in the southeast, Chaudes-Aigues in the south, Espinasse in the southwest, Oradour in the west and Cussac in the northwest.

On January 1, 2017, the municipalities of Neuvéglise, Lavastrie , Oradour and Sériers were merged to form the new municipality of Neuvéglise-sur-Truyère .
