The Saint-Flour Communauté is a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the department of Cantal in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It was founded on January 1, 2017 and comprises 53 parishes. The administrative headquarters are in Saint Flour .

Historical development

The community association was created with effect from January 1, 2017 through the merger of the predecessor organizations

With the establishment of the association of communes, the communes Lavastrie , Neuvéglise , Oradour and Sériers formed a commune nouvelle with the name Neuvéglise-sur-Truyère .

The association, originally founded under the provisional name Communauté de communes des Pays de Caldaguès-Aubrac, Pierrefort-Neuvéglise, Planèze, Saint-Flour Margeride , changed its name to the current name with a decree of April 6, 2017.
