Talizat ( Occitan Talisac or Talaisac ) is a central French city and a municipality with 581 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Cantal in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Auvergne ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Flour and the canton of Saint-Flour-1 (until 2015 Saint-Flour-Nord ).

Talizat is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Joursac in the north and north-west, Ferrières-Saint-Mary in the north and north-east, Valjouze in the north-east, Rézentières in the east, Coren in the south-east, Andelat in the south, Alleuze in the south and south-west and Saint-Flour in the west.
