Landeyrat is located around 32 kilometers northwest of the small town of Saint-Flour within the Volcans d'Auvergne Regional Nature Park .

history

Historically, the commune belongs to the Cézallier region within the Auvergne. Landeyrat belonged to District Murat from 1793 to 1801 and was part of Canton Allanche from 1793 to 2015 .
