The Confederation of Independent Football Associations (CONIFA) is a football - an umbrella organization for national football associations and was founded, 2013. It is composed of teams representing nations , dependent territories, unrecognized states , minorities , stateless peoples and historical regions that are not members of FIFA .

CONIFA organizes the CONIFA world football championship every two years . The first tournament of this kind took place in 2014 in Östersund, Sweden . In June 2015 , the first CONIFA European football championship was held in Debrecen, Hungary .
