Montboudif ( Occitan : Montbodiu ) is a French municipality with 190 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Cantal in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Auvergne ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Flour and the canton of Riom-ès-Montagnes (until 2015 Condat ). The inhabitants are called Bodimontois .

geography

Montboudif is located about 50 kilometers north-northeast of Aurillac and about 55 kilometers south-southwest of Clermont-Ferrand in the north of the Cantal department. The mountain village is part of the Volcans d'Auvergne Regional Nature Park . Neighboring municipalities are Saint-Genès-Champespe in the north, Égliseneuve-d'Entraigues in the north-east, Condat in the east and south-east, Saint-Amandin in the south and south-west and Trémouille in the west and north-west.
