The Communauté de communes Hautes Terres is a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the department of Cantal in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It was founded on January 1, 2017 and comprises 39 parishes. The administrative headquarters are in Murat .

Historical development

The community association was created with effect from January 1, 2017 through the merger of the predecessor organizations

• Communauté de communes du Pays de Massiac ,
• Communauté de communes du Pays de Murat and
• Community de communes du Cézallier ,

of which, however, the municipalities of Lugarde and Montgreleix have joined other associations of municipalities.
