Conor McCarthy (born April 11, 1998 ) is an Irish football player who is under contract with FC St. Mirren in the Scottish Premiership .
Career
society
Conor McCarthy played in Blarney United's youth about 5 miles northwest of Cork until 2014 . As of July 2014, he played in the youth division of Cork City for the next two years . In July 2016, the tall McCarthy made his debut for the club in the League of Ireland against Shamrock Rovers after being substituted on for Ian Turner . In the 2016 and 2017 seasons he made a total of nine missions. In 2017 he won the Irish championship with Cork . In the same year the cup and the Supercup were won. From the 2018 season McCarthy was used more often and won the Supercup again. After a total of five seasons at Cork City, he moved to the Scottish first division club FC St. Mirren in January 2020 .
