Kyle Magennis (born August 26, 1998 in Glasgow ) is a Scottish football player who is under contract with FC St. Mirren .

Career

Kyle Magennis joined FC St. Mirren at the age of five . On October 29, 2016, the then 18-year-old played his first game for the professional Saints team in the second division game against Hibernian Edinburgh . In his fifth game in the Scottish Championship , he scored his first goal on December 6, 2016 against Queen of the South . In the same month, Magennis received a three-year contract extension. After he had played firmly in the squad in the following seasons, the contract was prematurely renewed for three years in June 2018. In the 2017/18 season , the Saints from Paisley rose as champions in the Scottish Premiership . Magennis was used 27 times and scored two goals.

National team

Kyle Magennis made four appearances for Scotland's U-20 national team in 2017 . With the team he took part in the tournament in Toulon , in which he was used against the Czech Republic (twice), Brazil and England . At the end of the tournament , the Scots took third place. On September 11, 2018, Magennis made his debut in the U-21s , with a 2-1 win over the Dutch U-21 selection in Doetinchem .
