Conquer Divide is a post-hardcore band signed to Artery Recordings with members from the United States , Great Britain and Serbia .
Band history
Although Conquer Divide formed in Michigan in late 2012 , the band has only been officially active since 2013. The band consists of the two singers Kiarely Castillo and Janel, the two guitarists Izzy Johnson and Kristen Waters, as well as the bassist Sarah Stonebraker and the drummer Tamara Tadic. Guitarist Izzy Johnson, a native of the United Kingdom , was accepted into the group after a casting.
The group signed a recording deal with Artery Recordings and released their first single, At War , a few days later . The group worked with producer Joey Sturgis on their debut album, which was released worldwide on July 24, 2015. On June 17th, 2015 the band released their single Sink Your Teeth Into This in which Denis Shaforostov from Asking Alexandria can be heard.
In April and May 2015, Conquer Divide toured the United States with Alesana , Capture the Crown and The Browning. The band toured with It Lies Within between February and March . Between July 17 and August 16, 2015, the group will tour the United States as the inaugural band with Upon a Burning Body , Within the Ruins , Come the Dawn , A Skylit Drive , Iwrestledabearonce and Oceano . On August 12, the concert tour crosses the Summer Slaughter Tour in New York City .
style
The group plays a variant of post-hardcore , which sometimes trumps with hard guitar riffs and poppy sing-a-longs. The band's sound is comparable to Blessthefall , Asking Alexandria and VersaEmerge . Izzy Johnson said she was also musically influenced by Parkway Drive and August Burns Red .
